
About Anam Irish Dance
Julie Hoffman is the Founder and Director of Anam Irish Dance Company. Julie has over 20 years of Irish Dance experience. She has choreographed many works for local theater companies, Irish dance schools, pageant competitors and talent shows.
Julie was a qualifier and competitor at the Oireachtas, North American Irish Dance Championships and the Irish Open Championships in solo and team categories. She was a founding cast member of Fusion Fighters Dance Fest in 2016 and 2017, as well as a two-time attendee of Riverdance Summer School. Julie has appeared with live bands such as Arum, Two Tap Trio, Green Tea, Athas, Myserk, Manran, Northerly Gales, Dust Rhinos, Brian Boru Pipe Band, Dust Rhinos, SisterTree, Barra, Christmas with the Celts and Celtica Pipes Rock. She has worked with renowned artists such as the Gardiner Brothers, Chris Naish, Deidre Kelly, Michael Donnellan and Kristyn Fontanella.
Julie has been a part of numerous elite Irish dance performance and competitive teams, performing in up to 60 shows per year. She has performed across the Midwest and in Ireland at corporate events, fairs, nursing homes, schools, bars and restaurants, festivals and large-scale productions. She has served as an instructor, competitive team coach and performer.
As an award-winning choreographer and performer, Julie created Anam Irish Dance Company so that other trained non-professional adult dancers can continue to perform and to offer her choreography and instructional services.
